Policy Press Outstanding Teaching Award

This award seeks to recognise sustained teaching activities of a high level that has made or is making a significant contribution to social policy teaching and learning. For example, the contribution may have taken place over a number of years; or the nominee may have made substantial contributions above and beyond their institution.

Heads of subject should nominate colleagues who they think has had a substantial impact on their teaching provision, or who demonstrate innovative and successful teaching practice. Both individuals and teams can be nominated.

Judging process

The SPA judging panel will assess nominations and make recommendation(s) for the award. When team nominations compete with individual nominations, judges will consider the size and composition of the team to decide on the winner, in order to not disadvantage individual nominations.
